Master of SSI Diving. The core.
As an experienced diver, you’re interested in becoming a professional dive guide. You want to pursue becoming a teacher as soon as possible.
Candidates who possess the skills and education required to carry out the responsibilities of a certified assistant are recognized by the SSI Divemaster rating. Among these responsibilities is helping SSI instructors run introductory and ongoing diving training courses.
Along with improving your scuba and snorkeling skills, you will gain more information about physics and physiology.
Under an instructor’s close supervision, you can help with both classroom and pool sessions.
Divemaster SSI. The prerequisites.
- The minimum age is eighteen.
- have completed 40 hours or more of open water diving, with at least 60 dives under your belt.
possess the SSI certificates listed below (no equivalence allowed):
- Expert Dive Guide
- The Science of Diving
SSI Divemaster: Qualification Status.
Active status Divemasters can do the following tasks in addition to those of a Professional Dive Guide in active status:
- Participate in all SSI recreational scuba courses as a certified helper.
- Take no more than two (2) students on excursion dives at a time to assist during open water training dives.
- Become eligible for the SSI Ecology Specialty programs as a Training Specialist.
- Take an Instructor Training Course offered by SSI.
