Program Specifics

You will learn how to use natural navigation skills and how to travel with a compass through the SSI Navigation Program. Additionally, you will learn how to make your way to various marking locations, estimate distances, navigate various search patterns, and return to the exit point whenever necessary. In order to avoid an uncomfortable surface swim at the end of a dive, instructors employ navigational methods and procedures to determine the best departure spot.

The goal of this course is to provide students with more knowledge and experience in underwater navigation, including both compass and natural navigation.

Certification for SSI Navigation.

The program’s digital certification card may be issued by the SSI Professional if all academic and in-water criteria have been fulfilled.

Within the suggested depth limitations of their certificates and in settings similar to their training, certified SSI divers are permitted to dive with a friend who is just as competent as they are.

In the relevant program, students under the age of 15 will get certification as SSI Junior Divers, allowing them to dive in situations similar to their training and within the advised depth limitations while being closely supervised by a diving expert or accompanied by a qualified adult.
