The Tec 40 to 50 Deep Diver courses are summarized in the PADI Tec Deep Diver course.
For the diver who wishes to become a Tec Deep Diver but does not wish to complete the various levels, this course is appropriate. Using air as the foundation gas, this is the most advanced level of technical diving and a requirement for the Trimix courses.
With the qualification, you can use two decompression gases with up to 100% oxygen for expedited decompression and dive up to 50 meters.
In order to take this course, you must:
- PADI Rescue Diver certification
- Certification as a PADI Enriched Air Diver (or equivalent qualifying certifications from other diving organizations)
- At least 15 of the 100 recorded dives were at a depth of more than 30 meters.
