For technical diving, it has become more and more common to wear multiple tanks.
Program Specifics
An explanation
You’ll notice that technical divers always wear many tanks if you’ve done any research on the subject. Setting up numerous cylinders for technical diving is becoming more and more common with sidemount. The Tec Sidemount Diver course introduces you to the world of tec diving, and you can use what you learn in subsequent TecRec courses. It’s possible that your instructor will offer to combine this course with Tec 40, Tec 45, or Tec 50.
You can sign up for a Tec Sidemount Diver course if you are a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, at least eighteen years old, and have at least thirty dives under your belt. Additionally, having a PADI Enriched Air Diver certification is advised.
Ask your Tec Sidemount Instructor about any applicable qualifying certificates from other diver training organizations.
Scholarly
You’ll discover how to set up a Tec sidemount harness and the benefits of diving with a sidemount setup. One confined water session and four open water dives will provide you with practical instruction. You will begin with two tanks and add at least two more, maybe reaching six side-mounted cylinders.
